The pools — so many options and it never once felt crowded. And the staff: attentive, warm, and working tirelessly to keep the grounds impeccable and every guest genuinely happy throughout the week.
Recommended Excursion
A full day at Isla Mujeres by catamaran — one of the most beautiful islands off the coast of Cancún and a perfect way to spend a free day with your wedding group.

Advice to Other Couples
💡 Give your guests maximum notice
Kyle and Arrielle gave their guests a two-year heads up on their destination wedding plans. This made it easy to keep the guest count accurate and gave everyone plenty of time to budget, request time off, and commit. If you're planning a destination wedding, earlier notice is always better — especially for guests with families or demanding work schedules.
💡 Use resort Facebook groups and Instagram to ease your anxiety
They joined the resort's general and wedding Facebook groups and followed the wedding coordinators on Instagram months before their wedding. This answered countless questions, provided real photos and reviews from other couples, and — for a self-described Type A person — helped build trust that the resort would deliver. Highly recommended for any couple who wants to feel more in control of the process.
✨ Photographer hack — pay for their stay instead of the vendor fee
Kyle and Arrielle brought their own photographer, Meredith Graves Photography, and paid for her three-night stay at the resort instead of the outside vendor fee. The result: a photographer they trusted completely, familiar with their style, at a cost that made financial sense. Worth exploring with your photographer before defaulting to a resort vendor.
✨ Real budget breakdown — Ultimate package, $10–11k all-in
They kept their wedding package and add-ons to $10,000–$11,000 total. Here's exactly what they included: DJ service, hair and makeup by Styling Trio, 4-shot cold fireworks, fairy lights, 8-hour videography, flower corsages for the gazebo (doubled as sweetheart centerpiece), bridesmaid flowers repurposed as reception centerpieces, and one large bouquet instead of corsages and boutonnieres. What they skipped: seating and table upgrades. Their reasoning? "We are at a beautiful location and we did not need much more — and it was all perfect."
Anniversary Plans
Ready to try a Sandals resort — St. Lucia, Barbados, or Antigua are all on the list for their first anniversary adventure.
