Discover Europe — Curated Journeys, Unforgettable Moments
Iconic cities. Hidden villages. The Europe you've always imagined — and places you never knew to look for.
Europe rewards travelers who go in with a plan — and it absolutely spoils those who go in with a great one. The difference between a trip that feels rushed and a journey that feels transformative often comes down to how it was designed: the right pacing, the right hotels, the right local guides, and the moments that were built in specifically for you.
This is what we do. We've been designing European itineraries for Kansas City travelers for decades, and we approach every trip the same way — by listening first, then crafting something that fits the way you actually travel, not a template someone else already used.
Curated Land Experiences
Whether it's a first trip to Europe or a return to go deeper, we build itineraries that feel personal from start to finish. Some clients want a beautifully paced independent journey with handpicked boutique hotels and a private transfer waiting at every stop. Others want the ease and enrichment of a small-group guided tour with expert local commentary built in. Most want something in between.
We design across all of Europe — including:
Italy — Rome and the Vatican, the Amalfi Coast, Tuscany's vineyard roads, the canals of Venice, Sicily, and the quieter magic of the Italian Lakes
France — Paris at its most romantic, the lavender fields of Provence, the châteaux of the Loire Valley, Normandy's emotional coastline, and the sun-drenched French Riviera
Portugal & Spain — Lisbon's storied neighborhoods, the wild beauty of the Alentejo, Seville's flamenco nights, the pintxos bars of San Sebastián, and the pilgrimage roads of the Camino
The British Isles — London's world-class culture, the dramatic Scottish Highlands, Ireland's Wild Atlantic Way, and the quiet charm of the English countryside
Central & Eastern Europe — the grand architecture of Prague, Vienna, and Budapest, the storybook villages of Slovenia, and the Adriatic coastline of Croatia
The details that make a European trip extraordinary — a cooking class in a Florentine kitchen, a private after-hours visit to a château, a table at a restaurant only locals know — those are the things we build in on purpose.
A Different Way to See Coastal Europe: Luxury Small Ships
For those drawn to the Mediterranean, the Adriatic, or the Greek Islands, there is one experience that stands apart: a luxury small ship cruise. These intimate vessels — carrying anywhere from 100 to 300 guests — access ports and anchorages that large cruise ships simply cannot reach. You arrive in the heart of a Croatian island town rather than a commercial terminal miles away. You anchor off a secluded Aegean cove before the day-trippers arrive. You end the evening with dinner on deck as the sun sets over the Ionian Sea.
Lines like Windstar Cruises, Emerald Cruises, Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, and SeaDream Yacht Club have redefined what a cruise in Europe can feel like — closer to a private yacht charter than anything you'd find on a mega-ship. We help you navigate the differences between lines, ships, itineraries, and cabin categories to find the experience that genuinely matches how you travel.
Greece — The Islands. The History. The Trip of a Lifetime.
Santorini. Mykonos. Athens. Paros. Crete. We know Greece the way only someone who's been there can.
There is a reason Greece sits at the top of so many bucket lists — and a reason it stays there long after other destinations have come and gone. The dramatic caldera views of Santorini. The whitewashed villages of the Cyclades. The ancient weight of the Acropolis rising above Athens. The wild, unhurried beauty of Crete. Greece is the kind of place that gets under your skin.
It also rewards travelers who plan it well.
Our team has explored Greece firsthand — the islands, the mainland, the ferries between, the hidden tavernas that don't appear on any list. That on-the-ground experience shapes every Greece itinerary we build, from the routing (fly into Athens, out of Santorini — it saves a day and ends your trip on the most beautiful note imaginable) to the hotel choices that make the difference between a good view and an unforgettable one.
The Islands
The Greek Islands are not one experience — they're many, each with its own personality. Knowing which combination fits the way you travel is where we earn our keep.
Santorini is Greece's most iconic island, and for good reason. Caldera-view hotels perched on volcanic cliffs, sunset dinners in Oia, boat tours into the caldera, world-class wine from volcanic soil. It's romantic, dramatic, and genuinely like nowhere else on earth. Best for couples, anniversaries, and anyone chasing that photograph they've been dreaming of.
Mykonos brings the cosmopolitan energy — luxury beach clubs, vibrant nightlife, boutique shopping, and an effortlessly stylish scene. It's also surprisingly beautiful beyond the parties, with quiet fishing villages and some of the Aegean's best beaches tucked away from the crowds.
Crete is Greece at its most expansive — a full island adventure with ancient Minoan ruins, dramatic gorges like Samaria, authentic towns with some of the best food in the country, and beaches that rival anything in the Mediterranean. Perfect for travelers who want depth and variety over a single beautiful view.
Naxos & Paros are the islands the Greeks themselves love — fewer crowds, stunning beaches, genuine local character, and a pace that makes you feel like you've actually escaped. Increasingly popular with travelers who've already done Santorini and want to go deeper.
Athens is the essential anchor. Two to three days in the Greek capital — the Acropolis, the Parthenon, the ancient Agora, the Plaka neighborhood, and a food scene that surprises almost every visitor — sets the stage for everything that follows.
How We Build a Greece Itinerary
A great Greece trip is about the right sequence as much as the right destinations. We typically recommend flying into Athens and spending two to three days in the city, then island-hopping by ferry or short flight to two or three islands before flying home from Santorini or Mykonos. The ferry experience — especially arriving in Santorini by boat as the caldera opens up around you — is one of those travel moments you don't forget.
We handle the routing, the ferry bookings, the hotel selections at every stop, the private transfers, and the local experiences worth building in. Whether you want a classic Athens-Santorini romance trip, an island-hopping adventure across the Cyclades, or a deeper journey that includes Crete and the Greek mainland — we've done it, and we'll design it specifically for you.
Hawaii — Islands Made for the Senses
Maui. Kauai. The Big Island. Oahu. We know them all.
There is nowhere quite like Hawaii. Each island has its own personality — and knowing which one (or which combination) fits your travel style is the difference between a good trip and an unforgettable one.
Maui is our most-requested Hawaiian island, and for good reason. From the resort corridor of Ka'anapali to the quieter luxury of Wailea, Maui delivers stunning beaches, exceptional dining, and easy access to experiences like the Road to Hana and sunrise at Haleakalā. We love Ka'anapali Beach Club and the overwater bungalows at Westin Nanea, and for ultimate privacy, the Ho'olei villas at Wailea are in a category of their own.
The Big Island rewards travelers who love dramatic variety — lava fields meeting lush rainforest, world-class snorkeling alongside active volcanoes, and a star-gazing culture unlike anywhere on earth. Kohala Coast resorts like the Four Seasons Hualalai and Mauna Kea Beach Hotel set the standard for luxury here.
Kauai, the Garden Isle, is for those who want to feel genuinely away from it all — dramatic Na Pali cliffs, hidden beaches, and a slower, wilder pace. Oahu anchors the classic Hawaii experience: Waikiki, Diamond Head, Pearl Harbor, and a vibrant food scene that keeps surprising visitors.
We can design single-island stays, multi-island itineraries, or island-hopping journeys that show you the full spectrum of what Hawaii offers.
Why Work With Us?
Our services are complimentary. Our expertise is not something you can Google.
Love to Travel has been planning extraordinary vacations since 1993. We're a Kansas City travel agency — and we work with travelers across the country who've found that having a trusted expert in their corner changes everything about the travel experience.
Here's what that looks like in practice:
We know these properties personally. We don't recommend resorts from brochures. We've been there. We've stayed in those rooms, eaten at those restaurants, and walked those beaches. When we say a property is exceptional — or when we quietly steer you away from one — it's from direct experience.
We have access you don't. As Sandals Chairman's Royal Club Elite agents and preferred partners with leading luxury suppliers, we can often secure room upgrades, exclusive amenities, and perks that simply aren't available when booking direct.
We handle everything. Flights, transfers, resort bookings, dining reservations, excursions, travel insurance, entry requirements — we coordinate it all. You pack a bag. We do the rest.
We're here if anything goes wrong. Travel doesn't always go perfectly. When it doesn't, you want a real person who knows your itinerary and has the relationships to fix things. That's us.
Our services are complimentary. We are paid by the travel suppliers we book, which means our expertise and guidance come to you at no additional cost.
